KATHMANDU: MPs who take oath in their mother tongue have to inform Parliament Secretariat 3 days in advance.
As the oath-taking ceremony is scheduled for Dec 22 at 1:00 p.m., MPs should notify the parliament secretariat today if they intend to take the oath in their mother tongue.

The House of Representatives (HoR) has a provision that the oldest MP among newly elected MPs should take the oath of office with the President, and that senior MP should make all other MPs take the oath.
Since the President has already requested that a new government be formed by Dec 25, the MPs should be sworn in before then.
