Man arrested on rape charge

KATHMANDU: Narendra Rai, 39, of Panchthar Phidim Municipality-3, was arrested on Saturday afternoon on a charge of raping a 14-year-old girl.

Rai was arrested on Dec 14 by police stationed at Chuhandanda police station in Tehrathum after it was learned that he had raped the girl in a bush in Pileh, Tehrathum, Aathrai Rural Municipality.

The police are investigating further in this regard.
