Elderly woman dies in a fire in Panchthar

KATHMANDU: An elderly woman has died due to fire in Phidim Municipality-13 of Panchthar.

The deceased has been identified as Sukmati Nemwang, 92.

According to the police, Nemwang, who was living alone in her house at Phidim-13, was found dead who was sleeping next to the fire.

Following completion of the necessary legal procedures, the deceased’s body was sent to District Hospital Panchthar for autopsy.

The District Police Office Panchthar stated that further investigation into the incident is underway.
