The team led by campaign chairperson Binay Yadav met Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Wednesday and submitted a memorandum and made such a demand.

KATHMANDU: The ‘Rastriya Ekata Abhiyan’ (National Unity Campaign) has demanded that the Nepalese government close the MP Development Fund.
The team led by campaign chairperson Binay Yadav met Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Wednesday and submitted a memorandum and made such a demand.
The campaign has demanded in the memorandum that all salaries, other service facilities, and the MP Development Fund be stopped as soon as possible, with the exception of the daily allowance given to federal and state legislators.
As of the economic downturn, the country’s highest body, the Federal Parliament, is unable to bear the burden and becomes a source of draining the country’s budget.
The campaign demanded that the MP Development Fund be closed, citing the risk of losing the public’s trust in Parliament.
According to the campaign’s memorandum, many traders are forced to commit suicide due to depression as a result of not being able to pay the bank’s interest, and farmers are apathetic towards agriculture as a result of a lack of proper prices for agricultural products and fertilizers.
