Tensions flare in Siraha in response to the murder of women
Seeing that the situation is getting worse, the highway is remains closed after the police backed out.
JANAKPURDHAM: Laxminiya Kaper, 30, of Siraha’s Mirchaiya Municipality 2, has been murdered. Her body was discovered stabbed this afternoon.
Protesters blocked the east-west highway in response to her death. There was a clash between the police and the protestors when they tried to open the highway.
Seeing that the situation is getting worse, the highway is remains closed after the police backed out.
According to the locals, she was murdered following the rape.
However, it is unclear who committed the rape and murder.
Protesters took control of one of the accused youth and beat him up. He was rescued and investigated, according to the police.
