Lakshmi Pandey of Hoopsekot as the chairperson of village federation

POKHARA: Laxmi Pandey, president of Hupsekot Rural Municipality of Nawalpur, has been elected as the chairperson of the national federation of rural municipalities.

On the basis of winning many constituencies, the Congress got the chairperson and vice chairperson.

Similarly, the second largest party, UML, will get 7 positions including general secretary and secretary.

Khim Bahadur Thapa, chairperson of Kali Gandaki Rural Municipality of Syangja, has been elected as the General Secretary.

The parties selected the leadership based on consensus.
