9 injured in minibus fire in W. Iran

TEHRAN: Nine passengers were injured as a minibus caught fire in the western Iranian province of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari on Monday, the Iranian Students’ News Agency (ISNA) reported.

The incident took place at 6:30 a.m. local time (0300 GMT) on the road from Naqneh to Dehaqan, Mahmoud Shamsipour, head of the provincial emergency organization, told ISNA.

The injured, eight women and one man, were first transferred to a hospital in Borujen County, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, but later to a burn care center in the central province of Isfahan given the severity of their injuries, Shamsipour said.

The cause of the minibus fire is unknown yet.
