KATHMANDU: The government has decided to recommend to the President that the Civil Criminal Procedure Code be amended with First Amendment Ordinance 2079.

Spokesman and Minister of Communication and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki stated that the government will issue the first amendment ordinance 2079 to the Civil Code of Criminal Procedure in response to the decision of the Council of Ministers meeting on Mangsir 29 (Dec 15).

Decisions:-

1. To add 2 women members to the public institute suggestion committee to make it more effective and inclusive.

2. Godak Soyak 132 KV transmission project to appoint the authority to acquire the land and carry out the initial action.

3. To recommend to the President to issue the First Amendment Ordinance 2079 to the Civil Criminal Procedure Code.

4. To give permission to provide government land on lease to Nepal National Veterans Association

5. To approve the use of forest area for the 220 KV transmission line of Kali Gandaki Corridor New Butwal Bardaghat project.

6. Gazetted First Class Co-Secretary Ram Avar Shah to be promoted to the gazetted special category towards Nepal Engineering Service Grouping Cluster and posted as the Secretary of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

7. To transfer Secretary Suresh Acharya to the post of Secretary of the Ministry of Urban Development towards the Grouping Cluster of Nepal Engineering Services of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
