Prabhakar stepping down as head coach
Prabhakar is resigning from his position as team was unable to achieve victory due to a lack of team coordination.
KATHMANDU: Manoj Prabhakar, the head coach of Nepal’s national cricket team, will step down.
According to a Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) official, Prabhakar will not return to Nepal after his vacation in India today.
Prabhakar is resigning from his position as team was unable to achieve victory due to a lack of team coordination. Recently, Prabhakar decided to step down from the position at a time when there are numerous questions about Prabhakar and the national team players.
CAN appointed Prabhakar last Shrawan (July/Aug) after the then head coach Pubudu Dasanayake resigned. A one-year contract was signed with Cane Prabhakar.
Former Indian all-rounder Prabhakar played 39 Tests and 130 ODIs for India. He has worked as a bowling coach of Afghanistan.
He has worked as a coach for Ranji Trophy team Delhi as well as Rajasthan and UP Cricket Association.
