KATHMANDU: UML Secretary Yogesh Bhattarai has expressed his opposition to the government’s decision to bring an ordinance to release Resham Chaudhary, who was convicted in the Tikapur incident.

He alleged that the coalition government attacked the system for power.

He wrote on Facebook, ‘The name of Resham, Aftab’s work, criminalization in politics, politicization of crime, whether the country goes to waste or the system is discredited, what does it mean as long as the alliance remains. This is just casting. The complete series is yet to come.

He insisted that this will continue as long as there is an alliance between criminalization of politics and the politicization of crime.

The Cabinet meeting held on Sunday decided to amend the law through an ordinance to release the leaders and workers of political groups led by CK Raut, Netra Bikram Chand and Resham Chaudhary.
