Birendra, who murdered his wife with an ax, was nabbed

JANAKPURDHAM: The husband struck his wife with an ax while she was sleeping in Shantinagar, Bateshwar Rural Municipality 5 of Dhanusha.

Birendra Yadav, 35, murdered his 27-year-old wife Ritadevi Yadav at midnight on Sunday. Birendra was arrested this morning on charge of murder.

Rita was taken to Kavya Hospital in Janakpur for treatment by locals. According to reports, the hospital declared her dead.

The husband Birendra, who killed his wife, has been arrested, according to Dhanusha Police Spokesperson and DSP Pradip Chhetri, and the necessary investigation has been conducted.

Rita Devi was killed with a sharp weapon at 11 p.m. on Sunday, according to police. Birendra, Rita Devi’s husband, was sleeping in another house at the time of her murder.

The house’s electricity line was cut prior to the murder.
