KATHMANDU: The World Cup football semi-final match is over. The FIFA World Cup semi-finals in Qatar have completed.

The four World Cup semi-finalists were determined following the conclusion of the quarter-final match on Saturday night. Former winners and runners-up have advanced to the semi-finals after 32 years.

Germany and Argentina did the same thing in 1990. France and Croatia have both reached the semi-finals.

France, the former champion, advanced to the final four after defeating England in the final match of the quarter-finals. Croatia, a former runner-up, also advanced to the semi-finals after defeating Brazil on Friday.

France will now face Morocco in the final round, while Croatia will face Argentina. Morocco defeated Portugal on Saturday night to advance to the semi-finals for the first time. Argentina advanced to the fourth round by defeating the Netherlands.

If they win their respective matches, the previous edition’s team will return to the World Cup final. Germany and Argentina met in the final in 1990. Germany won the World Cup in June, avenging a previous loss to Argentina.

To repeat in the finals, France must defeat Morocco and Croatia must defeat Argentina.

Croatia and Argentina will meet in the semi-finals on Tuesday at 12:45, and France and Morocco will meet on Wednesday at 12:45.
