Chinese aircraft to be auctioned

KATHMANDU: Chinese aircraft will be auctioned. The Nepal Airlines Corporation will auction five Chinese aircraft.

The corporation has begun the process, demonstrating that no commercial organization is willing to operate the aircraft charter.

For the past 28 months, the aircraft has been docked at Tribhuvan International Airport.

The corporation issued a letter of intent to evaluate the aircraft parked in the remote parking lot in the airport’s northeast area on Tuesday.

According to the Ministry of Finance, as no domestic or foreign airline companies have expressed interest in renting these aircraft, the corporation has issued a valuation notice to sell them at auction.
