Honey hunting in Bhujung, witnessed by the largest group ever
A team of around 200 people reached in Lamjung for honey hunting.
KATHMANDU: A group visited Bhujung village in Lamjung to observe honey hunting in order to promote internal tourism.
A team of around 200 people reached in Lamjung for honey hunting, including well-known Nepali artists, pilots, doctors, journalists, writers, professors, engineers, lawyers, athletes, security officers, and businessmen.
On Friday, the team that left Kathmandu on Thursday morning observed honey harvesting in Bhujung’s Ghimche cliff.
Spark Adventure Pvt Ltd, the organizer, stated that they arrived at Kwbholasothar Rural Municipality 4, Bhujung on Thursday evening and organized honey hunting with the goal of promoting internal tourism.
In ‘Spark Adventure 2022’, the team including actor Rajesh Hamal, singer Ram Krishna Dhakal, senior colorist Sunil Pokhrel, pilot Captain Bijay Lama, actor Bipin Karki, Barsha Siwakoti, Madhusudan Pathak (Site Ba), taekwondo player Deepak Bista and Dr. Lochan Karki reached Bhujung, Amardeep Bhattarai of Spark Group informed.
The team traveled from Kathmandu to Bhujung village via Benisahar. There is a program to observe local culture in Bhujung, visit the cliff honey harvesting location, have dinner at the homestay, and visit Ghalegaun before returning to Besisahar. Bhattarai stated that singer Rama Krishna Dhakal will perform solo in Besisahar on Friday evening before returning to Kathmandu on Dec 10.
According to Bhattarai, the main goal of this program is to promote adventure tourism in Nepal as well as extraordinary travel experiences, as well as to establish relationships between experts from various fields.
There are about 400 houses in Bhujung of Lamjung.
Bhujung, which was previously known as one village and one village, now belongs to one ward. This village, 1,650 meters above sea level, is located 36 kilometers north-west of Lamjung headquarters, Bensi Sahar.
