Hearing being held today on petition against impeachment against JB Rana

KATHAMNDU: The hearing of the petition filed in the Supreme Court against the letter of Dr. Bharatraj Gautam, Secretary General of the Parliament Secretariat, which invalidates the impeachment against Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana, will be heard today.

Along with JB Rana, 9 officials of the Bar Association filed a joint writ petition against Dr. Bharat Prasad Gautam, Secretary of the Parliament Secretariat and the Secretariat.

Since the Secretary General of the Parliament Secretariat issued a letter declaring the indictment against JB Rana ineffective, a writ was filed demanding an order not to execute the letter.

They have demanded that the new parliament should accept the impeachment proposal against Jabra.
