CHITWAN: A German citizen was killed in Chitwan when a Bolero and a motorcycle collided.

According to the police, 60-year-old German citizen Michael Mayer Owerswein died during treatment after being injured in the accident in Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-3 Phischling. Owerswein died while being treated at the old medical college while riding a motorcycle.

Motorcycle (Na 41 Pa 548), on its way to Kathmandu from Narayangadh, collided with Bolero (Bagmati State 03-001 Ch 1682), which was heading to same direction.

A foreign citizen who was a pillion driver is being treated in a moderate condition, according to the police, and identity has not been released.

Bolero passenger Nir Bahadur Tamang, 63, of Dhading Rural Municipality-5 is being treated at New Medical College in Bharatpur.

The police have taken the Bolero driver, Sajan Bhujel, 21, of Gorkha, into custody.

Both collided at Ichchakamana Rural Municipality-3 under Prithvi Highway located in Phischling.
