Barsaman Pun’s treatment begins in quarantine

SHENZHEN: CPN Maoist Center Deputy Secretary General Barsaman Pun (Ananta) has started treatment in quarantine in China.
Pun’s treatment has begun in the quarantine of Shenzhen’s Third People’s Hospital. Due to the fourth wave of the COVID-19 epidemic, China is under strict lockdown.
Pun, who is also the Minister of Finance and Energy, has long suffered from a complex form of hereditary jaundice.
He left for Dubai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen for follow-up treatment on Friday after becoming ill with election-related dyspepsia and consulting with Nepali doctors. In medical terms, the disease in Pun is known as ‘Crigler-Najjar type two syndrome.’
His wife, former Speaker Onsari Gharti, stated that his health has improved overall.
Gharti reported that his bilirubin level was 27 when he arrived from Nepal, but it has since dropped to 24.
