Presence of 5 parties in Karnali SA, such is the parliamentary arithmetic
In the Karnali State Assembly, which has 40 MPs (24 on the direct side and 16 on the proportional side), the Nepali Congress (NC), the CPN Maoist Center, the CPN UML, and one independent candidate have all won directly.

SURKHET: Five parties will be present in the Karnali State Assembly (SA). Despite the fact that only the UML, Congress, and Maoists won seats, candidates from the CPN (Unified Socialist Party) and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) will be enter to the State Assembly based on proportional vote results.
In the Karnali State Assembly, which has 40 MPs (24 on the direct side and 16 on the proportional side), the Nepali Congress (NC), the CPN Maoist Center, the CPN UML, and one independent candidate have all won directly.
Similarly, according to the Election Commission (EC), 5 candidates from CPN-UML, 5 from Nepali Congress, 4 from CPN-Maoist Center, 1 from CPN (Unified Socialist Party) and 1 from RPP will be elected. CPN-UML, which is the third in the State Assembly directly, has become the first in the proportional representation.
According to the EC, CPN-UML has secured 183,950 votes. NC secured 170,756 votes, CPN Maoist Center secured 137,629 votes, CPN (Unified Socialist Party) secured 35,826 votes and RPP secured 25,186 proportional votes.
NC first in State Assembly
NC has become the largest party in the Karnali State Assembly.
NC became the first party to win 14 seats, including 9 direct and 5 proportional. Similarly, with 13 seats, the CPN Maoist Center has risen to second place. Maoists received 9 seats directly and 4 seats proportionally.
The CPN-UML, which came in first in terms of proportionality, came in third in terms of the number of elected MPs. UML won 10 seats, 5 directly and 5 proportionally. Similarly, the CPN (Unified Socialist Party) and the RPP obtained 1-1 seats in the State Assembly.
