17 people injured in bus & truck collision
Two of the injured are critically injured.
KATHMANDU: A vehicle accident in Nawalpur of Nawalparasi Bardghat Susta East injured 17 people. At 5 a.m. this morning, a bus and a truck collided near Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality-1 of the district on the East-West Highway.
According to Santosh Pathak, Information Officer of the Nawalpur District Police Office, the accident occurred when a bus numbered Lu 1K 4670 leaving Baglung for Bhairahawa and a truck numbered Lu 2K 893 leaving from the west collided.
Two of the injured are critically injured. The injured are being cared for at Danda’s Madhyabindu District Hospital.
Pathak stated that there were 30 people on the bus, all of whom were safe.
After the bus and the truck collided, there is now only one-way traffic at that location. He stated that two-way traffic would not be allowed until the vehicles involved in the accidents were removed.
