Tension erupts in Rautahat as a teacher is accused of molesting a girl student

KATHMANDU: The situation deteriorated when students from Shree Janata Secondary School in Rautahat’s Yamunamai Rural Municipality 4 took control of a teacher and beat him up.

Bijay Singh, the teacher, was beaten by the students for molesting with a class 5 girl student.

The police fired in the air and rescued teacher Singh while the students were beating.

Two rounds were fired into the air while the students were pelting stones at the teacher, according to Rautahat police spokesperson DSP Madhav Yadav. He claims that the situation is now under control.

The police rescued teacher Singh from the students and sent him to the District Police Office in Gaur.

DSP Yadav stated that an investigation into the allegations of misbehavior has begun and that he has received no complaints.
