Man arrested on rape charge in Sunsari

KATHMANDU: Tajmul Islam Mia, 30, of Sunsari Duhabi Municipality-9 Chatabeli, was arrested on charge of raping a 16-year-old girl.

Tajmul raped the girl in a hotel in Tehrathum Laliguras Municipality-2 Basantpur on the night of Dec 2.

Police from the district Police Office Duhabi discovered him hiding in a village house in Sunsari Duhabi Municipality-9 Chhatabeli and arrested him.

The police are conducting necessary investigations in this regard.
