Supreme Court: Which law states that impeachment is ineffective?

KATHMANDU: Following the General Secretary of Parliament’s letter to the Supreme Court (SC) stating that the impeachment against Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JB Rana was ineffective, the SC asked him the opposite question.

The SC’s full court meeting on Wednesday demanded the legal basis for the letter from the Parliament Secretariat.

Narayan Prasad Regmi, Sub-Registrar of the SC, has written to the General Secretary with six questions.

The SC requested in its letter that the information be sent to the General Secretary.
