Security beefed up in SC, NBA lawyers protesting (photos included)

KATHMANDU: The security system of the Supreme Court (SC) premises has been tightened as Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana, whose suspension has been lifted, prepares to appear before the Supreme Court.
The Nepal Bar Association (NBA) of SC said that JB Rana’s suspension released was against the Act and prevented him from entering the SC.
The Supreme Bar lawyers are currently present at the SC.

Chief Justice JB Rana, on the other hand, is preparing to leave his official residence in Baluwatar to return to the SC.
CJ Rana awaiting the arrival of escorting team
Chief Justice Cholendra Shumser JB Rana is awaiting the arrival of the escorting team of government security personnel.
According to sources, Chief Justice JB Rana, who is preparing to go to the Supreme Court (SC) after the suspension is lifted, has stated that he will not leave the government residence in Baluwater without the government escorting team.
He is currently waiting for the escorting team in Baluwatar.
The lawyers of the Nepal Bar Association of SC are protesting the Chief Justice’s decision to appear before the SC. They claimed that JB Rana’s ineffective suspension released was illegal.
