Pushpa set fire to her body after marriage was called off
Pushpa died on Monday morning.
KATHMANDU: After the marriage was annulled, the girl committed suicide by reaching to the boy’s house and setting herself on fire.
Pushpa Neupane, 26, of Baneshwor, Kathmandu, set her body on fire on Sunday evening by sprinkling petrol at her boy’s house in Dhumbarahi.
Despite the fact that the engagement had been canceled with the family’s permission, Pushpa reached to Sudan’s house on Sunday evening and set herself on fire.
The police immediately rescued her and sent her to the University Teaching Hospital. Pushpa was taken to Hospital in Kirtipur after she could not be treated there. Pushpa died on Monday morning.
Sudhan Sangraula, who lives in Dhumbarahi and Pushpa, who have been in a relationship for some time, got engaged with the consent of the family.
