KATHMANDU: In the Proportional Representation category, the CPN-UML obtained the most votes.

The UML secured 28,14,655 votes under the HoR’s PR system as of Tuesday morning, according to the Election Commission (EC).

Similarly, the Nepali Congress (NC) secured 2,688,218 votes to win the most seats under the first-past-the-post electoral system, followed by the CPN (Maoist Centre) with 1,164,102 votes.

Similarly, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) garnered 1,124,778 votes, putting it in fourth place in the PR vote.

The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) garnered 586,816 votes, while the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) 420,954 votes and the Janamat Party 394,538 votes obtaining the minimum votes to become the national political party.

Likewise, the CPN (Unified Socialist) has obtained 296,090 votes and the Nagarik Unmukti Party has 271,674 votes.
