Two Chinese nationals injured in brawl

KATHMANDU: On Sunday morning, two people were critically injured in a gang fight between two groups of Chinese nationals on the busy street of Indrachowk in Kathmandu.

The incident happened around 11.30 a.m. this morning, according to Kathmandu police. According to police sources, as the conflict between the two groups heated up, 37-year-old Fong Changyun struck two of his friends with a sharp object.

Li Chuwan, 32, and Gan Saosing, 29, were taken to Bir Hospital’s National Trauma Center for immediate treatment.

Chuwan has a severe stomach injury, while Sausing has injuries to his stomach, chest, and left side of the head. Due to their injuries, they are both unable to speak.

Kathmandu police have arrested Fung Changyun, who threw a knife. According to the police, an investigation into the incident is continuing.
