KATHMANDU: The counting of votes cast in the House of Representatives (HoR) and State Assembly (SA) elections on Nov 20 under the proportional representation (PR) system is nearly complete.

The CPN-UML has the most seats in the PR category.

The UML received 27,88,356 (26.76%) votes under the HoR’s PR system, according to the Election Commission (EC).

Likewise, the Nepali Congress received 2,6607,246 (25.53%) votes, followed by the CPN (Maoist Centre) with 1,162,124.

Similarly, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) secured 1,124,543 (10.79%) votes, putting it in fourth place in the PR votes.

The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) secured 586,638 votes, while the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) secured 420,946 votes and the Janamat Party secured 394,523 votes, respectively, to become the national political party.

Similarly, the CPN (Unified Socialist Party) secured 294,362 votes, while the Nagarik Unmukti Party secured271,662 votes.
