Maya’s murderer Koli arrested
Bharatram Koli, a resident of Shivanath Rural Municipality-4, was apprehended in Mahendranagar on charge of murdering Maya.

KATHMANDU: The accused in the murder of 21-year-old Maya Luhar of Pancheshwar Rural Municipality-4 of Baitadi has been arrested from Mahendranagar.
Bharatram Koli, a resident of Shivanath Rural Municipality-4, was apprehended in Mahendranagar on charge of murdering Maya.
The arrest of Koli from Mahendranagar was confirmed by Chief Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Mohan Kumar Acharya of the state police office. He said that the detailed information is yet to be received. Koli was apprehended while wandering in Mahendranagar market on Sunday morning, according to District Police Office Kanchanpur Police Inspector Pushkar Pant.
Koli, 22, was an armed police constable at the Hull and Riot Training Management Academy in Pokahra. According to police inspector Pant, the arrested girl will be turned over to the Baitadi police. Last Wednesday, Maya was discovered dead with her throat slit in Shivanath Rural Municipality.
The police stated that it is understood that the arrested Koli and Maya are in a relationship, but that more information will be revealed only after the incident is thoroughly investigated.
