World Cup’s last 16 matches begin today, these teams will face off
Brazil and Argentina will meet in the semi-finals after winning their respective matches.

KATHMANDU: The World Cup knockout round of football has concluded. With the conclusion of the two group matches on Friday night, the 16 teams that will advance to the knockout stage were determined.
Netherlands, America, Argentina, Australia, Japan, Croatia, Brazil and South Korea have reached the knockout stage. Similarly, England, Senegal, France, Poland, Morocco, Spain, Portugal and Switzerland have also made it to the knockout stage.
Brazil and Argentina will meet in the semi-finals after winning their respective matches. Former winners France will face Portugal in the semi-finals of the other group. However, both teams must win their respective games in order to achieve this.
The knockout stage games will begin on Saturday night. At 8:45 p.m., the Netherlands will face the United States in the first match. Argentina’s match against Australia will begin at 12:45 a.m. The winners of these two games will face each other in the quarterfinals.
On Sunday, England will face Senegal at 12:45 p.m., while France and Poland will face off at 8:45 p.m. The winners of these two matches will also face each other in the quarterfinals. On Monday, Japan will face Croatia at 8:45 p.m., while Brazil and South Korea will play at 12:45 p.m.
The eight teams that will advance to the quarterfinals will be determined by the two knockout stage matches on Tuesday night. Morocco and Spain will play at 8:45 p.m. on the final night, while Portugal and Switzerland will play at 12:45 p.m. In the quarterfinals, the winners of the two matches played on the same night will meet.
The first quarter final match will be played next Saturday at 8:45 PM.
