KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane’s citizenship and passport dispute will be investigated by the police.
According to reports, the District Administration Office (DAO) Kathmandu has sent a letter to the District Police Complex Kathmandu requesting an investigation.
Lamichhane currently represents Chitwan Constituency No. 2 in the House of Representatives. He is also the Rastriya Swatantra Party’s chairperson.
Prior to the election, there was a complaint that Rabi had taken a foreign citizenship and issued a passport without renunciating his Nepali citizenship.
