KATHMANDU: Pathibhara Devi, also known as Mukkumlung, is one of Nepal’s most important temples, located on the Taplejung hill. It is also considered a holy site by the Nepalese people.

Worshippers from all over Nepal and India come to the temple on special occasions because it is believed that a pilgrimage to the temple guarantees the fulfillment of the pilgrims’ wishes.

Pathibhara Devi is the goddess of faith, faith, and purity in Taplejung. Many people come to Pathibhara temple to have their wishes granted in the same way.

There is no caste, religious, or gender discrimination or restriction. Although animal sacrifice is not required for Pathibhara Devi, it is practiced through sacrifices.

The temple is located 19.4 North East from Phungling Municipality, at an elevation of 3,794 meters. It is a side route to the Kanchenjunga trek.

Pathibhara Devi is revered as a symbol of unwavering luck. That is why all kinds of devout devotees must bring vermilion, tika, ghazal, kangio (silky oak), and other cosmetics to the goddess here.

This is a religious matter. It is an extraordinary touristic and beautiful place. You can see everywhere from this Pathibhara area, which is connected with the mountains. The sunrise seen from Pathibhara along with the snow ranges of Kumbhakarna and Kanchenjunga are mesmerizing to anyone.
