Death incident of Dharan: Slogans & demonstrations continues
The women chanted slogans demanding the arrest of all the accused.

KATHMANDU: Women demonstrated in Dharan, demanding justice for Usha Rai of Dharan-13, who died as a result of a beating. Rai was beaten by the groups of women.
A single woman is said to have been assaulted by a group led by Urmila Rai. The video of the assault has also gone viral on social media.
The Aama Samuha has been discredited, according to Nirmala Timsina, chairperson of Janajagriti Aama Samuha, as the former chairperson of the Aama Samuha was also involved in the beating.
The women chanted slogans in front of the merchery department of BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences and the Dharan area police station. The women chanted slogans demanding the arrest of all the accused.
Urmila Rai, the main accused, has been apprehended by police. The women who are protesting want everyone involved in the beating, including her husband Gobind Rai, arrested.
The organization held a press conference to state unequivocally that the Aama Samuha was not involved in the incident. Physical attacks and violence against women are allegedly being committed in the name of Aama Samuha, according to local residents.
