KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Prakash Man Singh has reached in Melamchi and stated that the employees’ complaints about not receiving their salaries should be addressed.
Employees from the Melamchi water supply project have complained that they have not been paid and that their concerns should be addressed. He stated that the government should also address Melamchi residents’ concerns.
After inspection Melamchi he said, “the employees have not received their salaries.” Employees who worked during the crisis should have their wages paid on time. Even in the management, it was clear that it was being run casually. It must be managed. ‘What should be done with the Melamchi Water Supply Board?’
He stated that the government should decide what to do with the Melamchi Water Distribution Board as the employees were not receiving their salaries aas they were canceled from the previous fiscal year’s budget.
