KATHMANDU: Locals in Dhangadhi have launched a protest in defiance of the prohibition order. Despite the local administration issuing a prohibitory order in Dhangadhi over the death of 15-year-old girl Chetna Saud due to a grader collision, a protest demanding justice began early in the morning.

They have demanded that the perpetrators be brought to justice and that proper compensation be provided to the victim’s family. On Thursday morning, Saud, 15, was riding her bicycle to school when she was hit by a grader No. 1 K 975 of Kalika Construction near Pipal Chautara in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-5.

Students from Panchodaya Secondary School, where the deceased girl was a student, demonstrated in Dhangadhi all day Thursday in protest of the incident, but the agitators refused to allow the body to be picked up from the scene.
