KATHMANDU: Dhanraj Gurung, the Nepali Congress (NC) candidate, has maintained his lead in Syangja-2.

Gurung obtained 4,590 votes, while UML’s Padma Aryal secured 3,455 votes.
Under State Assembly (A), the votes for Galyang 6, 7, and Bhirkot 5, 6, 7, have been counted.
Gurung now leads Aryal by 1,135 votes.
The Rastriya Swatantra Party’s Tikaraj Gurung secured 1,021 votes.
Bhojraj Aryal of the NC is leading with 4,814 votes in State (A), while Mohan Regmi of the UML is following with 3,834 votes. There is a 980-vote difference.
