Lamp lighting on eve of 35th World AIDS Day (photos included)
On the eve of World AIDS Day, Dec 1st, the Center lit the lamp at Maitighar in Kathmandu in collaboration with the organizations HIV and AIDS Federation Nepal, Save the Children Nepal, and WHO.
KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population’s National AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Diseases Control Center lit a lamp at Maitighar Mandla on Wednesday.
On the eve of World AIDS Day, Dec 1st, the Center lit the lamp at Maitighar in Kathmandu in collaboration with the organizations HIV and AIDS Federation Nepal, Save the Children Nepal, and WHO.
According to the center, the lamp was lit to wish for the eternal peace of the souls of all those who died as a result of HIV AIDS.
World AIDS Day is one of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) eleven official global public health campaigns, alongside World Health Day, World Blood Donor Day, World Immunization Week, World Tuberculosis Day, World No Tobacco Day, World Malaria Day, World Hepatitis Day, World Antimicrobial Awareness Week, World Patient Safety Day, and World Chagas Disease Day.
