DAO orders to arrest four people those attacked Metropolitan Police

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu District Administration Office (DAO) has directed the administration to arrest those who attacked Kathmandu Metropolitan Police on Monday. It has been directed to arrest four people who attacked city police officers and proceed with the investigation process.

The DAO ordered the arrest of Narayan Parishrami, Hukum Bahadur Lama, Deepak Jung Kunwar, and Raju Tamang on charges of assaulting city police and directed the police to conduct an investigation on Wednesday.

The administration has instructed them to take action against them in accordance with Sections 85, 196, and 212 of the Criminal Code of 2074.

The Kathmandu Metropolitan City filed a complaint at the Kathmandu Police Complex, Teku, on Monday, alleging a deadly attack on the city’s team preparing to evacuate the Thapathali squatter settlement.

According to the police station, an investigation will be conducted into the charge of injuring 18 people, including city police chief Raju Pandey and city police constable Sharmila Bogati, with criminal force and weapons.
