KATHMANDU: Sudurpaschim State has defeated Madhesh State by seven wickets in a match today under the ongoing U-19 National Cricket Tournament at the Kirtipur-based Tribhuvan University Cricket Stadium.

Madhesh State has been eliminated from the tournament, while Sudurpaschim State has received 10 points.

In a win, Sudurpaschim State achieved the target of 123 runs by Madhesh State in 18.5 overs at the loss of three wickets.

For the winning team, Dipak Bohara hit highest 53 runs while Gajendra Bohara 23. For Madhesh State, Avishek Tiwari took two wickets and Siman Roy one. Elected into bat after winning the toss, Madhesh State made 122 runs in 38.1 overs losing all wickets.

For the losing team, Ali Ansari made 32 runs, Imran Shek 28, Mayan Yadav 23, and Dablu Malik 11. For Sudurpaschim State, Naren Saud singlehandedly took five wickets. Similarly, Hemanta Dhami claimed three, and Yubaraj Khatri two. The tournament has been participated by State 1, Madhesh State, Bagmati State, Gandaki State, Lumbini State, Karnali State and Sudurpaschim State.
