Stone pelted at Bhagwati Chaudhary’s victory rally
After stones were thrown at the victory rally in Chhatabeli, a brawl broke out.
BIRATNAGAR: Stones were thrown at the CPN-UML victory rally in Sunsari. Stones were thrown at the UML victory procession on Duhabi-9.
After stones were thrown at the victory rally in Chhatabeli, a brawl broke out.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Khagendra Khadka, the victory rally led by member of the House of Representatives Bhagwati Chaudhary, who won from the UML, and member of the State Assembly Rohit Bahadur Karki was attacked.
Stone pelting injured Lal Mohammad Rain, Kurban Mia, and Tabarez Alam. They are being cared for at a nearby hospital.
According to UML, the victory rally was attacked as it approached the home of Mehdi Hussain, the ward chairperson of Duhabi- 9 and the regional chairperson of Nepali Congress Constituency No. 3.
In that constituency, a large number of security personnel have been mobilized. In Sunsari Constituency No. 3, Bhagwati Chaudhary of the UML defeated Nepali Congress leader Bijay Kumar Gachhdar.
Gachhadar had won continuously from that area since 2048.
