KATHMANDU: Bishwa Prakash Sharma, General Minister of the Nepali Congress and a newly elected member of the House of Representatives (HoR), has stated that the campaign for change has begun. Sharma returned to Jhapa after visiting Kathmandu on Tuesday to congratulate leader Gagan Thapa.

Sharma, who was elected from Jhapa Constituency No. 1, has traveled there for the ‘Voter Respect Campaign.’ Sharma, who posted a video of his visit to the farmer’s field, wrote, ‘After spending one evening in Kathmandu, I arrived in Jhapa in the morning.’ For a few days, the voter respect campaign in Jhapa 1 will focus on the remaining wards, and I will travel to Kathmandu.

Federal MP Sharma stated that “the campaign for change has already begun,” and that he hoped to garner everyone’s support to make it decisive.

General Minister Sharma, who visited General Minister Thapa’s home on Tuesday to express his congratulations, announced that he would launch a campaign to make Thapa Prime Minister. He stated that he did not come solely to congratulate Thapa on his election as an MP.

He stated that General Minister Thapa has served as an MP several times and as a minister, and that he should now understand the needs of the country and move forward to the position of Prime Minister. General Minister Sharma stated that he will continue discussions with the party’s top leaders and MPs in order to appoint Gagan Thapa as the party’s parliamentary leader.
