UML’s Hari Narayan won by defeating Madhesh minister Shatrudan Mahato

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML’s Hari Narayan Mahato has won in Dhanusha State Assembly Constituency No. 4 (2) by defeating Minister of Madhesh State Shatrudan Mahato.

Hari Nayan defeated Madhesh Minister of Industry, Tourism and Forest Shatrudan by a margin of 1,342 votes.

Shatrudan of CPN-S was the common candidate of the ruling coalition.

The elected Hari Nayan secured 17,302 votes.

His nearest rival Shatrudan has got 15 thousand 960 votes. Hari Narayan is the former mayor of Mithila Municipality. He won as mayor in 2074 from UML.
