Mayor should be sensitive to the problem of squatters: Dr. Lohni

KATHMANDU: Former Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Chandra Lohani has said that Mayor Balendra Shah should be sensitive to the problem of squatters in the city.

He said that regarding the problem of squatters in the city, the mayor should follow the law and show sensitivity towards the real squatters.

‘Before suddenly running a dozer in the winter, it is important for the municipality and the federal government to identify the real squatters and explain to them what kind of communication they had with them,’ he wrote on social media.

He also praised Mayor Balendra Shah.

He said, the people have appreciated the work of Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Shah till date. There is an impression on the people that the mayor of Kathmandu has a leader who is honest, not greedy for money and who wants to do something positive.’
