Ghana triumphs over South Korea

KATHMANDU: Ghana defeated South Korea in Group ‘H’ action at the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. Ghana won the game 3-2 at the Education City Stadium.

Mohammed Salisu gave Ghana an early lead in the 24th minute of the game. Mohamed Kudus of Ghana doubled the lead in the 34th minute.

Cho Gue-sung equalized for Korea in the 58th and 61st minutes.

The goal scored by Ghana’s Mohamed Kudus in the 68th minute proved decisive. Ghana moved up to second place in Group ‘H’ with three points after the victory.

With the loss, South Korea is at the bottom of the group with 1 point.

Ghana lost 3-2 to Portugal in the first match. South Korea and Uruguay drew 0-0.
