KATHMADU: The results of the House of Representatives and Sate Assembly member elections held on Nov 20 are still underway.

The counting of direct and proportional votes is nearing completion.

According to voting results as of 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, the CPN (UML) remains in the lead in the House of Representatives’ proportional election system. UML received a total of 25 lakh 85 thousand 814 votes. The Nepali Congress has received 24 lakh 53 thousand 75 votes, putting it in second place.

CPN (Maoist Center) is in third place. The Maoist center got 11 lakh 1 thousand 360 votes. The National Independent Party is in fourth place. The said party has received 1 million 71 thousand 414 votes.

Rashriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is in fifth position with 552,040 votes, while Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) is in 6th position with 358,318 votes.

Janamat Party is seventh with three lakh 568 votes, CPN (Unified Socialist) is eighth with 264,500 votes, Nagarik Unmukti Party is ninth with 245,300 votes, Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP) is in tenth place with 137,881 votes.

Other parties got less than one lakh votes. So far 957,9651 votes have been counted.
