KATHMANDU: Pampha Bhusal, Minister of Power, Water Resources, and Irrigation, has responded that using force against squatters is not appropriate.
Minister Bhusal gave this response after the Kathmandu Metropolitan Corporation used force to remove the squatters settlements located in Thapathali on Monday.

On Monday, tensions were raised when the metropolitan team used force to enter the squatters’ settlements in Thapathali.
More than a dozen people were injured when locals pelted stones at the city’s team, including police officers.
Similarly, residents chanted anti-government and anti-Kathmandu Metropolitan City administration slogans.
