KATHMANDU: Raju Pandey, the SP of Kathmandu Metropolitan Police who went to demolish the Thapathali squatter settlements, was injured.
SP Pandey was injured after being hit on the head by a stone thrown by retaliating squatters.
SP was injured in the leg when the squatters pelted stones on impulse.
The metropolitan had issued a 15-day notice to vacate the unauthorized settlement of this location.
Following the demolition, the metropolitan attempted to demolish the squatter settlements with a dozer.
Residents of the squatter settlement, on the other hand, said they would not allow dozers to be used under any circumstances, and they retaliated with stones and homemade weapons.
