Preparing to redistribute water from Melamchi to Kathmandu

Due to the floods and landslides that occurred in Ashar (June/July) 2078, they plan to temporarily bring water to Kathmandu after removing the goods and obstacles buried in the damaged project’s headworks and tunnels. The tunnel door was closed in June to prevent
Earlier, the Asian Development Bank presented to the committee its preliminary report on the project’s long-term maintenance study. According to the project, the repair and improvement work can only begin after the final report is received by December.
Water distribution in Kathmandu began in February 2077, following the completion of a two-decade project.
