Costa Rica clinches Japan by 1-0

KATHMANDU: Costa Rica defeated Japan in the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Costa Rica beat Japan by 1-0 in the Ahmed ain Ali Stadium on Sunday.

Keysher Fuller scored the game-winning goal for Costa Rica. He scored in the game’s 81st minute.

Fuller’s superb finish off Yeltsin Tejeda’s pass effectively ended Japan’s chances of advancing to the knockout stages with a game to spare.

Costa Rica was humiliated by Spain in the first match of the group, while Japan defeated Germany. Costa Rica, on the other hand, performed better in the second game.
