AmCham holds its first AGM
American Chamber of Commerce Nepal (AmCham) held its first Annual General Meeting (AGM) last week in Kathmandu.

KATHMANDU: The American Chamber of Commerce Nepal (AmCham) held its first Annual General Meeting (AGM) last week in Kathmandu.
Led by Chairperson of AmCham Nepal, Mr. Ajit Shah, the meeting was attended by its members including the Board of Directors, Mr. Nirmal Kajee Shrestha from MetLife, Mr. Akash Golchha, from G.O. Automobiles, Mr. Asheem Man Singh Basnyat from Pathao Nepal, Mr. Atulya Risal from Ambarkaar Software, Mr. Jayadin Shrestha from ICTC Holdings, Mr. Kailash Bijayananda from Leapfrog Technology and Mr. Semanta Dahal from Abhinawa Law Chambers.
“Our unique strength comes from the collaboration of our strong member companies, our regional network of Amcham Chapters, our association with the US Chamber of Commerce, and our association with the US Embassy in Nepal,” said Chairperson Mr. Ajit Shah. “Based on the data we received from a survey conducted among our members,” he continued, “we were able to identify three key categories, Financial Committee, Policy and Advocacy Committee, and Networking Committee, where we were able to make good progress during the year.”
During the meeting, the respective committee members presented the latest developments in each of these categories, which were approved by the Board along with the annual review and financial statement.
The Chairperson and members of the Board of Directors were re-elected to serve until the next AGM.
