KATHMANDU: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has stated that a coalition government of five parties will be formed.

‘The government of the five-party alliance will be formed, and the five-party alliance will last for five years,’ he said at a meeting of the five-party alliance held on Sunday morning in Bhairahwa, Rupandehi.

Khand, who was defeated in Rupandehi 3 by RPP candidate Deepak Bohara, stated that the top leaders of the five parties will decide who will be prime minister.

He stated that the Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Maoist Center Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal, CPN (Unified Socialists) Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal, Loktantrik Samajbadi Party Chairperson Mahantha Thakur, and Rastriya Jana Morcha Chairperson Chitra Bahadur KC will meet to finalize the Prime Minister.

He stated that he accepted the election results with ease. It is difficult to accept election defeat lightly. However, I was educated by Krishna Prasad Bhattarai. As a result, I gladly accept the people’s opinion,” said Home Minister Khand.

He expressed his gratitude for being able to fulfill his primary responsibility of conducting the representative assembly and state assembly elections in a clean, fair, and fearless manner in a peaceful manner.
